Xander sat at a table toward the back of the library. His head was rested heavily on his arm and he stared out the window. From where he was sitting he could just see the quidditch pitch. He had been in the library 'studying' for a test he had in potions the following day. A stack of rather large books sat on the table next to him, one was open in front of him and a messy pile of parchment sat on the other side of him. His quill sat in his bottle of ink and his backpack sat on the floor against the leg of the table.
He was so sick of studying he couldn't even look at the text anymore. It was such a nice day outside and he was stuck indoors. When was he ever going to use potion making as a professional quidditch player? He asked himself, his mind drifting to the pitch. Taking a long, sleepy, breath in, he shifted his position. Leaning back in the chair he stretched, whipping his face trying to concentrate again. Glancing back at the book in front of him, he flipped it closed. A small thud reached his ears and he stood.
He wore a regular pair of faded blue jeans, a red t-shirt with a random design on it and a pair of black converse. A wrist watch adorned his left wrist and a silver chain hung around his neck. Grabbing the book, he moved to put it back on the shelf. He figured he'd wake himself up if he walked around a bit. He walked down a slender isle between the bookshelves and turned to walk down another when he bumped into somebody. Fumbling with the book in his loose grip, he looked to see who he had bumped into. "Sorry," he mumbled.

Only recently remembering a test in transfiguration the next day Hero interupted the very pleasent nap time that she was having in her dormitory in order to study. She grabbed the book out of the pile of books she brought to class, but almost never actually opened and headed to the great hall. Why she suspected that the great hall would be a better place to study than the library was anyone's guess.
When she first got there it was quiet, but after about an hour of staring at an open book and honestly being confused as to what was going on she began to notice the little noises. She heard the gossip of the first years down the table, she heard the rattling of the rings of a gryffindors necklace a few seats away, she even heard the distant laughing in the hallway. Slamming the book shut and making a somewhat exasperated screaming sound she stormed off in the direction of the library.
Frustrated she jumped into the nearest aisle, racing to the back. Not that she really understood where the section she might be looking was, but she just had to cool off a bit. She had a tendancy to lose her temper with people. Before she realized it she was very far from the front, turning to see the steps she had taken she slammed into someone.
"what that -- " she murmered, catching herself before she swore. She looked up to see a young man she recognized, though she couldn't pick as to where. (she paid almost no attention to the quidditch matches, she even the gryffindor captain was just a face). "no no no. my fault."

Xander looked at the figure he had run into. It was a girl, he realized, with curly brunette hair. "Sorry," he said again, dropping his gaze. "I didn't mean to bump into you." he said, his eyes remaining on the floor, a slight blush appearing on his high cheek bones. He didn't really notice who it was he had bumped into, and yet the nervous behaviour was setting in. He really hated how stupid he acted everytime he was around a girl.
He shifted his weight from one foot to the other before suddenly remembering he was holding the potions book in his hand. Glancing around the nearby shelves for an empty spot he could place it in, he averted his eyes from the girl before him. Seeing one, he reached over and slid it onto the shelf, it more than likely wasn't the book's proper place, but Xander didn't really care. Looking quickly back to the girl in front of him, he muttered "Are you okay?."

Hero would have missed the blush on xander's face if she hadnt been so intent on staring at it. 'hot damn' was all she was thinking, and when she noticed the blush creeping across his face she stiffled a bit of a giggle. It was a flirty giggle though, not a cruel one. She watched him put his book back, a smile invading her lips.
"I am just....fine." she said fine while biting her lip, looking xander up and down. She had been a certified flirt for many years at this point and she was constantly tempted to use her skills. Reaching a hand up she laid her tiny fingers on his shoulder, her second hand reaching for the book he put back. "especially because this was just the book I was looking for." lies. she wasn't even sure what the book was, but it didnt matter. She got tp put a hand on him, and even after she pulled the book back she left her hand touching his arm.
"Is it safe to presume that you are alright? I don't think I could to much damage to your body." Hero said with a slight giggle. Flipping through the pages of the book she looked up at him. All of a sudden his face clicked in her mind, "Quidditch. Thats where I know you from. Umm, Captain? right?"
OOC: hehehehehehehe.
